Athena isn’t a mascot for Franny’s.

She is a symbol of what’s been here all along.

From the Farm Forward

Franny’s story began with the plant.

As the first woman to legally plant hemp in North Carolina, Franny entered an industry that was still being built. There wasn’t a perfect roadmap. There were questions to answer, standards to establish and an entirely new conversation around hemp to help consumers understand.

That required more than entrepreneurship.

It required curiosity.

It required courage.

And most importantly, it required wisdom—the willingness to keep learning and then share that knowledge with others.

That same philosophy remains at the heart of Franny’s today.

Why Athena?

Across history, Athena has been associated with wisdom, strategic thinking, protection and skilled craft.

Those ideas feel naturally connected to the Franny’s story.
